About Me…
I am a high school teacher/coach and PhD Economist. I enjoy economics, politics, teaching, and sports, and thinking analytically about each. I have ideas on many topics that I am always formulating and I want to share those ideas, receive feedback, and spark discussions. That is why I started my blog, but more importantly it is a place for me to organize my thoughts.
Personal…
I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia with my wife Cara and son, AJ.
Where I’ve been…
I graduated from Hamilton College in 2005 as a mathematics major and physics minor. I taught high school math at my alma matter Holderness School in Plymouth, NH from 2005-2007. I had an opportunity to play baseball for a season in 2008: http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=lavall001ada . Then I continued my teaching career in the fall of 2008 at Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, PA. In the winter of 2016, I completed my PhD in Economics from Temple University.
